I. Prior to Classes Starting – Items Needed to Purchase
A. All dancers must have their own water bottle & hand towel – labeled with last names.
B. All dancers must have a dance bag – labeled with last names, big enough to house
your children’s clothes & street shoes also all labeled with last names.
II. Guidelines for Staff & Students
A. We are following the guidelines issued by the Governor.
B. We will teach the students to be respectful of those who are more cautious and want to
wear masks, wash their hands often, etc.
C. We will remind the kids to respect social distancing.
III. Check your child before sending to class
A. One of our staff members will be stationed at the door to take temperatures.
B. Please take your child’s temperature before leaving the house every day & do not go
to dance if there is a temperature or any signs of illness. We will call you & ask you
to pick your child up if we see or hear signs.
C. If a child doesn’t feel well, we will have them call home & be picked up.
IV. Sanitizing the Studios
A. The studios will be thoroughly cleaned before classes start this summer and maintained
throughout the week.
B. Barres will be sanitized before every class. Common surfaces will be cleaned often.
C. We will encourage children to wash their hands before & after each class.
D. We will have hand sanitizer available for anyone who uses it.
V. Dress Code
A. Come to the studio already dressed in your dance wear.
B. Girls - wear leotards and tights only – all labeled with last names.
C. Boys – Snug T-shirt (Under Armour preferred) and dance pants, dance shorts or tights.
D. Hair should be in a bun and must be done BEFORE arriving at studio
E. There will be NO LOST & FOUND until further notice.
F. All items must be labeled with your last name. Anything left will be thrown away.
VI. Extra People in the Studio
A. No one will be allowed to enter the studio except the staff & dancers.
B. Someone will be at the door to help with drop off and again with pick-ups. Times TBA.
C. Dancers must be picked up at their designated finishing times. No lingering.
VII. Inside the Studios
A. Students will not be able to use the lockers. They will go into their designated studio
as soon as they arrive and they will stay in that room until they leave, except for lunch.
B. Students will place their belongings, including their lunch, inside their dance bag and
leave it in a designated dressing room – spaced 6’ apart.
C. There will be limited seating inside the studio.
VIII. Taking Class
A. Dancers will put their towel on the barre and then hold the towel, rather than the barre.
B. Towels will go home with dancers every day to be washed or get a new one.
C. Dancers will be reminded to remain 6’ apart at all times.
D. Students will be not be allowed to touch each other or hold hands or partner.
E. Teachers will remain hands free and will have to instruct verbally, not manually.
F. Teachers will be the only ones to operate the stereo systems.
IX. Office Area
A. No one will be allowed in the School office except staff.
B. Students may continue to buy water & snacks but will remain outside the office and
buy water or snacks through Mrs. Greene or a staff member.
C. Tuition balance is expected to be paid by the first of the month.
X. Dismissal
A. Class levels will be dismissed at staggering times.
B. Teachers will be assigned to dismiss the students.
C. Please be aware of your child’s dismissal time TBA & be prompt to pick up.
